‘After a cold ‘Christmas in July’ cruise to the North Pole, complete with Santa, snow and reindeer, the residents of Wyong Aged Care Facility were tantalised by the smell of kangaroo and crocodile on the BBQ during their latest cruise down the Murray River to go ‘Back to the Bush’.

Our singing duo, the ‘Two Swaggies,’ had everyone singing along to favourite Aussie tunes such as ‘Waltzing Matilda’ and ‘Give me a home among the gum trees.’

The campsite setting was of particular interest as many of the residents reminisced of days gone by spent in the bush. Typical Aussie tucker of Jumbuck Stew, damper and fresh berry compote followed the BBQ appetisers, leaving many people asking for more of this delicious cuisine.

Everyone is eagerly anticipating the next cruise, which will see us heading off to the USA to catch up with Elvis!’
